I Am Back From the Philippines
Hello Great Ones! I just got back from a two week trip to the Philippines and I am happy to be back. Whenever I go anywhere I always take my cell phone with me, so if anybody needs to talk to me all they have to do is call my cell. I am leery about telling people I am going away because I am afraid somebody might need me yet not call me because they do not want to call me while I am on vacation. In other words, if you need me then call me. It is not relevant if I am on vacation or not. I want to be helpful at all times. That makes me happy.
What was I doing in the Philippines? Susan had her 50th birthday party there. Although, it was more like a concert with her father (Boy Palacio) playing the keyboard onstage and a bunch of the country’s top level musicians up there jamming with him. Of course, we had lots of singers (including Sassy and Luke Stambush). I don’t think I’ve ever attended such a great birthday party. In addition to the other many great singers who performed, it certainly did not hurt to have two very famous singers (Pilita Corales “Asia’s Queen of Songs” & Carmen Patena) come to the party as guests as well as perform for everybody. They were friends of Boy (Yes I call my father-in-law “Boy”; that is his name) from when he was their music director back in their hay day
Jury Joke - Definitely Not a Stambush Therapist
Judge: Is there any reason you could not serve as a juror in this case?
Juror: I don’t want to be away from my job that long.
Judge: Can’t they do without you at work?
Juror: Yes, but I don’t want them to know it.
"I've Never Had a Problem With Stambush" Says Local Director
While I was in the Philippines, a therapist from another agency called Fred about joining Stambush. Without going into details that might reveal the person’s identity, the therapist was having trouble with his/her agency, and when the Director of the Facility learned about this, the Director suggested the therapist to give Stambush a call, adding, “I’ve never had a problem with Stambush.” Obviously, this made me very happy. After all, since we first started in 1989, Stambush was meant to be the “no hassle” company and a force for good. And twenty two years later we are still the company that does things right, the company that treats people fairly. We are the company that has always refused to line its pockets with the ill-gotten gain of hiring inexperienced new graduates, and we are the company that shuns authoritarianism and thrives by hiring very competent professionals who do what they say they are going to do (that is you guys – hooray you!)
But despite the above, we are not done because there are still people who do not understand the difference between us and other staffing agencies. Even if we had every qualified therapy professional in the area on our team and in our family of professionals, we would still not be done. This is because every day is a new day with new challenges and new opportunities. With each day, I look forward to more and more people telling it like it is, “I’ve never had a problem with Stambush.”
So, thank you everybody. You all (office staff too) are a part of something very special.
Quote of the Week
"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything they just make the most of everything that comes along their way."
