Giving Staffing a Good Name

Other Agencies Dying?
I wonder if some, if not all, of our competitors are dying a slow death. Recently, we hired a full time therapist from another agency who said his/her agency cannot find enough work to pay for his/her health care insurance. That is not all. A few days ago I interviewed another therapist who told me that the word at his/her former agency is that “everyone is leaving xyz agency and going to Stambush." Interestingly, this person was referred by an employee of the other agency.
All Our Design
As some of you veteran Stambush people know from our 2007 reworded rendition of Auld Lang Syne we used to have on the website, it is our design for the other staffing agencies to be forgotten. We have been planning and preparing to be the “last man standing” (no offense ladies) ever since we began in 1989. And just how are we carrying out this sophisticated master plan? Well, we try to be responsible and normal. That is really all there is to it. We don’t hurt the professions we serve by trolling for inexperienced new graduates, test everyone, actually interview everyone, keep our word, are loyal, and even terminate people when we feel we have to. While that may not sound too hard to us, some of these things appear to be extremely difficult for most, if not all, agencies.
What Are We Doing with New Applicants from Our Competitors?
You might ask: with the sudden influx of new applicants, how can you be confident we won’t hire cheaper people and book them first?
We will not be giving our Save The Day (STD) Plan to any new hires. Everyone who now gets $100 per day when not booked is grandfathered in. This puts the onus on us to continue booking our veteran Stambushers.
We will continue to pay the same to new applicants as we do to veteran Stambushers. This makes sure we have no corrupt motivation to book a cheaper/newer therapist.
We are a grateful and loyal company, and that is not going to change.
Why Hire the Other Agencies' Therapists at All?
To a large degree, this business is about timing, and the more qualified staff we have the better off our customers will be and the better off we all will be. Also, the more staff we have, the more negotiating power we have, and we are much less likely to get pushed around at the negotiating table.
Sad Note - We Terminated a Therapist this Week
Unfortunately, we had to terminate a therapist this week. After warnings and probation, we still got customer complaints. What were the complaints? Mainly not saying things in a nice way or saying things in a way that were easily misconstrued in a bad way. All of us in the office wish that person the best of luck.
401K Meeting January 20, 2013 - RSVP to Scott
Please don’t forget to RSVP and then actually come to our 401K Meeting. Our whole 401K Plan is set up to help us obtain life changing wealth. It is not here to make anyone stay with Stambush. Remember, there is no vesting schedule. The 401K Plan is here for us to be better off than we would otherwise be. So please, RSVP now if you haven't already.
If you've already let Scott know whether or not you're coming, then don't worry about sending me another e-mail. We've got all of that information.
